July 13, 2026
Engineering Technology Corporation celebrates National Composites Week 2026 through its From Curiosity to Career initiative, inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Engineering Technology Corporation partners with Beehive Science and Technology Academy during National Composites Week 2026 to inspire future engineers through composites and advanced manufacturing.

Salt Lake City, Utah, USA – July 13, 2026

“From Curiosity to Career” showcases how the convergence of engineering, innovation, and advanced manufacturing is shaping the future of composites.

Engineering Technology Corporation (ETC), a proud member of the Toray Group, is a global expert in filament winding, tape wrapping, and other advanced solutions for composite-part manufacturers, will host “From Curiosity to Career” (download the event flyer in PDF), a community outreach initiative in collaboration with Beehive Science and Technology Academy – Utah’s #1 STEM-focused school[1] during National Composites Week 2026 (August 24-28, 2026). National Composites Week is an annual initiative dedicated to celebrating the many ways composites contribute to the products, structures, and technologies that shape the American manufacturing landscape. Through this initiative, ETC aims not only to increase awareness of composites and advanced manufacturing technologies but also to inspire future engineers by demonstrating the power of innovation, engineering, and the exciting career opportunities available in the composites industry. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at ETC’s Center of Excellence in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The initiative is designed for approximately 70 STEM-focused students and educators from Beehive Science and Technology Academy, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience engineering in action, explore advanced manufacturing technologies, and gain insight into career pathways in science, technology, engineering, and composites.

More Than Machines

For over 60 years, ETC has supported composite manufacturers worldwide through innovative filament winding systems, tape wrapping technologies, engineering expertise, and advanced machinery manufacturing.

However, ETC’s mission extends beyond designing and manufacturing robust and reliable equipment. At ETC, we believe engineering is about creating opportunities, inspiring curiosity, and empowering future generations to solve meaningful challenges. Through initiatives such as “From Curiosity to Career”, ETC demonstrates its commitment not only to advancing manufacturing technologies but, also to investing in people and strengthening the engineering workforce of tomorrow.

“At Engineering Technology Corporation, More Than Machines is our guiding philosophy. It reflects our passion for engineering, our commitment to innovation, and our belief that our people are our greatest strength. Our unique team, driven by expertise, collaboration, and a shared passion for solving complex challenges, is at the heart of everything we do.

I believe that investing in future generations is just as important as advancing manufacturing technologies. Inspiring tomorrow’s engineers is essential to strengthening our communities and shaping the future of the composite industry”.

– Robert Eyre, General Manager

The initiative reflects ETC’s core values of technology, innovation, teamwork, and passion for engineering, while reinforcing the company’s belief that engineering excellence and community engagement go hand in hand.

Experience Engineering in Action

Students and educators participating in “From Curiosity to Career” will engage in:

  • Educational presentations exploring the role of engineering in the composites industry
  • Live filament winding demonstrations at ETC’s Center of Excellence
  • Exposure to innovation, automation, and robotics technologies
  • Discussions about advanced manufacturing and composite materials
  • Career coaching sessions with ETC engineers
  • Open discussions focused on engineering pathways, higher education, and prof. development opportunities

The program is designed to demonstrate how engineering transforms ideas into products, technologies, and solutions that improve everyday life and shape the future.
