Discover the latest developments in composite part manufacturing

CAMX 2022_E-SignatureSalt Lake City, Utah, USA (August 31, 2022) – Engineering Technology Corporation, a global expert in filament winding and composite solutions, celebrates its 60th anniversary of proud service to the composite industry! The company announces attendance at CAMX 2022 and invites you to visit its joint Booth F8 with Zoltek® – a leading carbon fiber manufacturer and parent company of Engineering Technology Corp.

During the show, the company will present turnkey equipment to meet a wide range of needs including high-speed filament winding, automated production cells, towpreg winding, slit tape winding, and tape wrapping. All these needs can now be met with its Standard Product Catalog, which has been steadily improved over the last 5 years with each successful project.

Standard Product Catalog

Towpreg winding_Credited by Engineering Technology CorporationWith 60 years of experience in the composites industry, Engineering Technology Corp. specially designed the standard product catalog of filament winders to be cost-effective, reliable, delivery quickly, and cover the majority of market needs. Its product line ranges from laboratory-scale winders to multi-spindle automated winders.

The laboratory-scale winders (SC Filament Winder) have seen steady use in the educational, sporting goods, and medical sectors. In 2022 the company introduced a multiple spindle lab-scale winder (SC+ Filament Winder) for high volume production. This is now the most cost-effective multiple spindle winder on the market.

The company also continues to improve the performance of its popular multi-spindle winders (SM+ Filament Winder) and servo tensioning creels, providing updated fiber delivery systems for towpreg and slit tape to support hydrogen pressure vessels, Type V pressure vessels, and other demanding aerospace applications with a focus on high-volume production.

On the other end of the spectrum, Engineering Technology Corp. has standardized its large-scale tape wrapping machine to support the growing aerospace and defense markets. Equipped with tape heating, cooling, compaction, and precise position control, it is capable of manufacturing carbon structures of up to 10,000 lbs.

Custom Product Catalog

For requirements beyond the Standard Product Catalog, Engineering Technology Corp. continues to offer Custom Products, allowing customers even more flexibility and capability for their composite manufacturing processes.
